Update: The Dead by Daylight Tome 4: Conviction release date has been officially revealed as Wednesday, July 29.
Tome 4: Conviction will introduce the Auris to Dead by Daylight. Described as “a device capable of peering into the memories of those who’ve entered the Fog”, it allows the Observer to offer players access to a new series of challenges.
Dead by Daylight’s Tome 4: Conviction will also include the following memories:
- Meg Thomas - EAT DUST
- Lisa Sherwood (The Hag) - STROKE OF LUCK
- Ace Visconti - GO FOR BROKE
- Philip Ojomo (The Wraith) - THE ALGEBRA OF INFINITE NIGHT
Original: Dead by Daylight players are awaiting news about Tome 4, which is set to further expand the game’s lore and add more cosmetic content when its release date comes around.
Although developer Behaviour Interactive hasn’t brought up the subject of a Tome 4 release date just yet, past Tomes have released at a distance of about three months. Since Tome 3 launched in April, we could, potentially, see Tome 4 launching this month.
As we wait for official word on the subject, website LeaksbyDaylight has datamined a series of cosmetics, content and a new Red Glyph mechanic set to be introduced in Dead by Daylight’s Tome 4, which is reportedly titled Conviction.

Datamining suggests that Tome IV: Convition will add the following 10 new outfits , alongside 32 new charms, to Dead by Daylight when it releases:
Ace outfit
- Name: Sideshow Brawler

Wraith outfit
- Name: Phantom of Vengeance

Dead by Daylight’s Tome IV: Conviction will also feature new lore entries that expand upon the backgrounds of several characters.
Killer The Wraith will receive no less than 10 entries; Survivors Meg Thomas and Ace Visconti get 7 while Killer The Hag and The Observer will have five new lore entries for players to read through.
Additionally, The Red Glyph mechanic will also reportedly be introduced in Dead by Daylight’s Tome IV: Conviction.
The details currently available are incomplete, although the mechanic is supposedly tied to a special quest that itself is tied to an in-game event.
Dataminers have discovered the text “Duration of the interaction to activate the glyph” having a 3-second duration attached to it. How exactly that will play out is anyone’s guess at this point.
