Publisher and developer Resolution Games today announced that Demeo: PC Edition’s release date is now locked down to April 7, 2022. Currently available for VR platforms, the dungeon-crawling RPG “has been rethought from the ground up” for PC, both versions of the game benefiting from several content drops as part of next year’s roadmap.
Demeo: PC Edition will launch with all of the content included in its VR counterpart. This means that players who pick it up on Steam will be able to access the Roots of Evil adventure (launching December 16) and the Player’s Hangout social space (launching February 24, 2022) straight away.
The former sends players to the surface, giving them a well-earned break from vanquishing evil that dwells in dungeons. The adventure also adds Molthas the Bard as the fifth playable champion. Wielding a lute and dagger, his songs can buff party members, silence enemies, and call upon a mighty wind to wreak havoc.
In between adventures, you can visit the Player’s Hangout to meet other players, customize your avatar, and play mini-games, including Hauntlet, an homage arcade game designed by Doom co-creator and Resolution Games Senior Creative Director Tom Hall.
When Demeo: PC Edition launches on April 7, 2022, it will include crossplay support bridging the gap between its users and those already adventuring in VR. The following updates are planned to launch simultaneously across all platforms.
Demeo’s 2022 roadmap also promises a PvP mode that supports up to four players, as well as two new adventures. More details will arrive at a later date.
