Destiny 2 Lumina quest has been in the headlines since its release earlier this week, but how does it start? What does the Fateful Gift item do, and where do you actually find the thing in the first place?
In short, Fateful Gift is the special item that triggers the Lumina quest when you get it, but it's not quite as straightforward as some of us might've been hoping for. Find out everything you need to know about the Fateful Gift down below.
Where to find Fateful Gift?
Your path towards an actual usable Lumina hand-cannon will start in the European Dead Zone: transmat over to Trostland and make a beeline past Devrim's cathedral, toward the Salt Mines/Salzwerk. When you're there, make your way over to the large underground warehouse-looking area with elevators, and use the Fallen teleporter that's close by.
Those who've previously kickstarted the Thorn questline will know where to go next. For those who are yet to do so, just run towards the top of the hill, and when you reach the top with the Fallen barrier to your right, go left and upwards instead, where you'll find a small campground. While Thorn can be found in the ashes on the floor, the special System Positioning Device and Fateful Gift can be found in the ornate chest further ahead.
Consult the items' descriptions to start your heroic assignment of turning the Rose hand-cannon (which you'll find shortly afterwards) into an Exotic Lumina firearm, but it's not going to be easy! Happy hunting.
