Destiny 2 still doesn’t make it particularly clear how to reset Valor, despite its Crucible playlists having received a bit of a reorganization with the launch of Shadowkeep.
If you’ve been playing lots of PvP and aren’t sure how to start over again with your rank, here’s everything you need to know about how to reset Valor in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 How to Reset Valor
In order to be able to reset your Valor rank in Destiny 2, you’ll first need to have maxed it out. This is done by simply playing Crucible matches. If you happen to pull off winning streaks, that will make sure you reach Legend rank faster.
It’s worth keeping in mind that Valor is earned through playing matches in non-competitive playlists. Currently, the only competitive playlists in Destiny 2 are the Survival and Freelance Survival ones, which reward Glory.
Once you’ve reached Legend rank and gained 2000 Valor, which is the current maximum, you’ll get a notification telling you that you can reset Valor.
Simply go into your Crucible menu, hover over any non-competitive playlist and you should see a prompt telling you to hold F to reset Valor. Do so and a few seconds later you’ll be ready to grind levels all over again.
