DONTNOD Entertainment, the developers of Vampyr, have announced an official renewal of their partnership with the game's publisher, Focus Home Entertainment, who will work to promote and release DONTNOD's upcoming unannounced game.
This is not surprising, as Focus Home Interactive specialises in heading high-profile "indie" releases such as Vampyr, and they've proven themselves to be quite capable in this regard so far. Both parties seem pleased with the development, which might mean good things for DONTNOD's future titles.
"We are delighted to continue the adventure with the team at DONTNOD," said John Bert, Focus Home Interactive COO. "We are proud to once again allow the talent of the studio to express itself on this new project which is intended to be among the most ambitious in the history of FOCUS and DONTNOD."
DONTNOD CEO Oskar Guilbert expressed a similar sentiment: "(Focus Home Interactive's) proven and effective marketing, their ability to address new digital distribution channels, their experienced teams and the convergence of our editorial visions makes FOCUS an ideal partner for our new game."
Though both parties reference a new game, the project has as-of-yet been unannounced, and we know virtually nothing about it, short that it is indeed being made.
In other tangentially related news, Vampyr is slated to be getting its own TV show sometime in the future. We've not been hearing much about this at all since August, but these things do move slowly. We'll see.
