Blizzard has revealed the start and end dates for Diablo 2: Resurrected’s technical alpha, which is set to take place this weekend.
The first technical alpha test will focus exclusively on Diablo 2: Resurrected’s single player. A limited number of players chosen at random from those who’ve opted-in on the game’s website will be given access. If you count among the lucky ones, you’ll receive instructions on how to access the test via email over the coming days.
Diablo 2: Resurrected’s technical alpha start date is set for this Friday, April 9. Starting with 3 PM BST, players can step into the shoes of the Barbarian, Amazon, or Sorceress and vanquish evil – including bosses Andariel and Duriel – across the game’s first two acts.
While the number of classes and areas available might be limited, there won’t be a cap on how much you can level your characters. Diablo 2: Resurrected’s technical alpha end date is then scheduled for April 12, at 6 PM BST.
If you’re not selected this time around, there will be other opportunities to test the game in the lead-up to launch. On top of that, you can watch technical alpha streams on both Twitch and YouTube. More details are available on the game’s website.
Diablo 2: Resurrected launches later this year on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
