Publisher and developer Funcom has announced that upcoming survival MMO Dune: Awakening will count among the first games to launch with support for both Nvidia DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and next-gen Razer Chroma and haptics.
The news was shared during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), where the publisher showcased new screenshots of its highly-anticipated game, slated to launch on PC in early 2025.
Dune: Awakening Nvidia DLSS 4 and Razer Chroma Support
Nvidia’s DLSS 4 technology becomes available with the launch of its freshly-announced RTX 50 series cards, promising “the biggest upgrade to its AI models since the release of DLSS 2.0 in 2020” alongside a performance boost that should translate into noticeably improved frame rates.
Its Multi-Frame Generation component “generates up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, working in unison with the complete suite of DLSS technologies to multiply frame rates by up to 8X over traditional brute-force rendering,” according to a blog post on Nvidia’s official website.
Integrating Razer’s newest synced lighting tech alongside the full suite of its haptic feedback devices, which include the Freyja HD haptic gaming cushion and Kraken Pro headset, helps “the lines between Arrakis and reality begin to blur,” Funcom claims in an emailed press release.
Dune: Awakening is currently aiming for a PC launch in early 2025, arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S “at a later date.” Sign-ups to its ongoing Closed Beta are available on the game’s official website.
