Endless games are a bit of a special sort, really. They are all set in the same universe, and tend to circle into one another as far as background story and plot go. These include Dungeon of the Endless, Endless Legend, Endless Space, and Endless Space 2, and cover all the fantasy/sci-fi bases you've ever imagined.
It is on this year's annual Endless Day that the developers, Amplitude, have decided not only to hold a free weekend event, complete with stretch goals, but also have not one but two new expansions coming out for both Endless Legend and Endless Space 2. These are, in order of mention: 'Inferno' and 'Supremacy'.
The free weekend will be taking place from 2nd to 6th of August, until 18:00 BST, 13:00 ET, and 10:00 PT, and it touches upon all four of the released Endless titles, as well as a selection of additional downloadable content. As for the Endless day, should players collectively accumulate a whole 1 000 000 hours of game time across any of the participating titles, Amplitude will unlock a variety of cosmetics to be used in Endless Space 2.
To summarise - we've got four prime titles to be played for free during the weekend, substantial expansion pack releases for two of these titles, and a community-wide content unlocking event to boot.
