Following Fall Guys’ massive success, developer Mediatonic and publisher Devolver Digital have revealed a first version of a roadmap highlighting what future content updates will bring.
The broad Fall Guys roadmap contains plans for new levels, costumes and features for upcoming content updates, although we don’t currently have an exact time frame for when we can expect them to drop.
“There will be fiendishly fun new levels, stylish and silly new costumes, and completely new features coming soon as we continue to evolve the Fall Guys experience and take in feedback from our incredible community”, reads a Steam post.
Fall Guys Roadmap, Content Update Plans, and Rewards
The post revealing Fall Guys’ future content update plans, also details the rewards that players who’ve taken part in its multiplayer mayhem during its launch week can expect.
Anyone who’s purchased Fall Guys during its first week will get the Big Bad Wolf costume depicted above. If you ask us, that looks more like the Big Cute Wolf.
Those who’ve played at least one game during the Fall Guys beta will obtain the Crash Test Dummy skin, while an Half-Life Alyx costume, exclusive to Steam, could be purchased from the in-game store using Crowns earned by winning matches.
The Alyx costume has since been replaced by a Hotline Miami-inspired costume, however, these cosmetic items have been confirmed to be part of a rotation, meaning that they’ll reemerge at some point in the future. Just make sure you save some Crowns if you miss anything you happen to fancy. On top of that, the Fall Guys store will next feature a ninja costume.
Players will also receive an in-game reward for braving through the server instability that marked Fall Guys’ launch week. “We’re still working out what this will be exactly, and the technical side of gifting it to you all, but we’ll have more details on that soon”, the developer said.
A clear roadmap and consistent content updates will be vital if Fall Guys is to maintain its current popularity, so it’s good to see plans already being mapped out.
Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4. Here’s everything you can get by progressing through the tiers of its very first (and very free) battle pass.
