Fallout 76 lets you have your own base to come home to after a bout of exploring its world, and knowing how to place doors can make sure that you’ve a bit of extra privacy for yourself.
But figuring out how to place doors in Fallout 76 can be a bit tricky due to the way its UI is set up. Don’t worry, though, as our guide is here to help.
How to Place Doors in Fallout 76
Building a foundation and walls is common practice for any base, however, if you just leave a gap between two regular walls, hoping that you’ll be able to place a door right there, you’ll find yourself disappointed.
To place doors in Fallout 76, you’ll have to choose a different variant of wall. Just like you can use your Z and C keys to navigate between different base components, those that have an arrow on the right side of their icon let you choose between different variants.
You do so with your left and right keys and going through different wall variants eventually leads to finding some with door frames. Those are required to place doors in Fallout 76, so you’ll want to plan your base with them in mind.
Once you’ve placed a wall with a door frame, move over to the Doors menu, select a door of your liking – these also come in different variants –, and place it in the door frame.
You now know how to place doors in Fallout 76 and can make your C.A.M.P. a bit more private!
