Found in several locations across Appalachia, Honey beasts are Fallout 76’s take on the regular honey bee. What that essentially means is that instead of the tiny, useful insects we know and love, you’ll bump into monstrous beasts that dwarf you in size.
Why on Earth you’d want anything to do with the oversized insects, is something even we can’t answer. Regardless, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous here are a good few locations where you can find honey beasts in Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 Honey Beast
You’ll know you’re dealing with a honey beast in Fallout 76 when you spot a giant walking bee hive in the distance. While they can no longer fly, you shouldn’t underestimate them as opponents.
One location to start your search for honey beasts in Fallout 76 is the Middle Mountain Cabins in the Savage Divide region. There you can encounter as many as eight of the creatures.
They can also appear at the Seneca Rocks Visitor Center, also found in the Savage Divide region, as well as the treetops location in the Mire, where you can sometimes spot three honey beasts.
If neither of the above locations works, try exploring around Freddy Fear’s House of Scares in the Mire region. There’s an unmarked cave to the northeast where honey beasts can spawn.
Honey beasts can also be encountered during the Irrational Fear and Fasnacht Day event quests. The former, picked up north of Raleigh Clay’s bunker, is pretty much guaranteed to throw honey beasts your way, as it tasks you with protecting a Mr. Handy bot as it steals honey from hives.
