Fallout 76 quests task you with many things but being asked to make friends with a Deathclaw is bound to take even the most experienced survivor by surprise. You’ll, nevertheless, have to do it if you plan on completing the Flavors of Mayhem quest.
But how does one make friends with a Deathclaw when most of them turn to hunt you on sight? The trick involves finding the right Deathclaw, which is done by bringing up your Fallout 76 map and heading to the area conveniently marked by a yellow circle when tracking the quest.
Fallout 76 Make Friends With A Deathclaw
Once you’ve arrived in the area, look for the Deathclaw roaming around. That’s the one you’re going to make friends with and the process is deceptively simple. All you need to do is get up close and interact with it as you would any other NPC in Fallout 76.
That’s all you need to do in order to make friends with a Deathclaw, although you may want to know that after doing so it will turn hostile.
The Flavors of Mayhem quest then tasks you with either killing or fleeing the Deathclaw, but if you don’t want to murder your new friend, just let it kill you and Fallout 76 will treat that as fleeing.
