When you first set foot in Fallout 76's Appalachia, tick farming was likely not something you foresaw yourself doing. Nobody does until they find the recipe for Stimpacks.
That happens because the oversized monstrosities' blood is a component of blood packs that are further used to craft Stimpacks. Here are a few good locations where you can farm ticks for their blood in Fallout 76's Appalachia.
Fallout 76 Tick Farm Locations
While Fallout 76's ticks sometimes blend into the environment, their size makes them rather conspicuous, not to mention scary.
One good spot where you're bound to find them is an unmarked shack found west of Big B's Rest Stop and below the Sunday Brothers' Cabin in the Mire region. You can then continue your tick farming adventures in the Dolly Sods wilderness, also found in the Mire.
Departing the region, another good location to farm ticks in Fallout 76 is the Moonshiner's Shack in the Forest region. You'll likely also find some at the Gilman lumber mill just below.
One final location that can make your Fallout 76 tick farming easier is Lake Eloise. Explore around it and you'll eventually find the eight-legged buggers.
