Fallout 76 is getting its major Wild Appalachia Update today, and it's going to be a real boon. The first part of the game's 2019 roadmap, this brings with it a new questline, changes to the crafting system, and lots more!
Fallout 76 Wild Appalachia marks the release of the first of three major batches of content that Bethesda intends to push out this year, and if the changelog is anything to go by, it's pretty substantial.
Fallout 76 Wild Appalachia Update Highlights</h2>
Bethesda themselves have noted the following additions as the most exciting ones in today's Wild Appalachia update:
- an entirely new questline: Wasted on Nukashine (introduces Brewing and Distilling)
- new Fasnacht Parade seasonal event
- a rebalance of Energy and Heavy weapons
- new Challenge Tracker added to the map
- new player reporting system added to the Social Menu
The introduction of Brewing and Distilling, in particular, marks an interesting inclusion, and will allow for alcohol-related experimentation, depending on the exact manner in which this new system will work. On a tangentially related note, the Fasnacht celebration event is sure to give a bit more pizzaz to whatever alcoholic monstrosity players might come up with.
Alongside these additions comes a slew of other new content, fixes, rebalances, and changes, with the full changelog available at the game's official blog.
