Fantasian, Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi’s latest RPG, drew quite a bit of attention to itself when it was announced early last month. Boasting a handful of twists that refresh the tried and true turn-based RPG template, we’re all wondering whether or not we can expect news about a PC release date soon.
Fantasian was revealed as an Apple Arcade exclusive and, by the looks of it, the game could very well contribute to establishing the subscription service as a viable pick in its segment. It, sadly, doesn’t do much for gamers who prefer the PC or any other platform, which is a bit unfortunate.
Until now, we haven’t heard anything new about a potential Fantasian PC release date, which means that Apple Arcade remains the sole way of experiencing what the game has to offer.
It’s a shame, too, as its levels are based on more than 150 handcrafted dioramas that look great, at least based on the trailers. In addition, the game also lets you send monsters you encounter while exploring these levels to an alternate dimension.
You can then fight them all at once, rather than taking them out as you go, seemingly trading smoother exploration for a more challenging fight.
Perhaps the attention it’s received so far means that we might hear about a Fantasian PC release date at some point in the future. We’ll have to wait and see, but keep an eye on this article, as we’ll update it should any new details emerge.
