Far Cry New Dawn is no stranger to various wacky additions that Ubisoft have decided to try and plaster into the core Far Cry experience, and the game has got not one but two ways to use helicopters this time around.
Far Cry New Dawn helicopters are essentially vehicles, but there are two kinds. First, there's the craftable, customisable type that you yourself can build and use as part of normal gameplay, and then there's the Expedition helicopter, which a pilot will use to take you to Expedition missions.
How to Unlock Helicopters in Far Cry New Dawn?
Both of the helicopter-related feature sets require Prosperity investments: you're going to need to work on upgrading your base through the use of Ethanol and other assorted resources. Depending on whether you want to go on Expeditions or drive a helicopter yourself first, you're going to need to focus your efforts accordingly.
To unlock driveable helicopters in New Dawn, of which there are three tiers and types to craft, you're going to need to invest Ethanol into your Garage. This will also require blueprint collection and other similar task completions, but nothing too complex. The interesting thing to note is that New Dawn has a more robust selection of flyers than we're used to in Far Cry, so get cracking on that Epic heli!
On the other hand, if you want to try your hand at New Dawn Expeditions, head on over to Roger Cadoret and upgrade his selection of goods. This will, in turn, also provide you with the ability to fast travel across the game's base level, so it's a win-win.
