Far Cry New Dawn packs a bit of an RPG punch - certainly a fair bit more than we're used to from this Ubisoft franchise. That's a good thing, though, because it refreshes the game a tad.
Far Cry New Dawn Prosperity upgrades were an expected element, then. What better way to drive home the fact that your game is RPG-lite than to include an upgradeable headquarters for players to fiddle with? Here, you'll learn how to best focus your resources on this feature. Ethanol enthusiasts rejoice!
How to Upgrade Prosperity Base in Far Cry New Dawn?
If you're wondering how to upgrade Prosperity base in New Dawn, fret not, because it's a fairly simple system. All you need to do is collect as much Ethanol as humanly possible through raiding Outposts and completing Expeditions.
As for the mechanics of it, Prosperity Homebase has got three levels in total. To go from 1 to 2, you'll need to find Thomas Rush in an early story mission. Rush is a Specialist, as many other characters are, and they will stick around Prosperity once you interact with them in the overworld.
Facility upgrades (e. g. Explosive Lab or Healing Garden) are an important part of the equation, as they continually improve the number and quality of tools you've got at your disposal, as well as your passive statistics. This is where the majority of your Ethanol supply will go, and you can upgrade facilities through the character menu on the Homebase tab.
Upgrading your facilities will unlock new features as you go along, such as Fast Travel, and you can only ever upgrade any given facility to the current level of Prosperity. So if you're at Prosperity level 2, your facilities can't go to 3 until you upgrade.
While unlocking Prosperity level 2 is simple enough, keep in mind that you'll need to find all 5 Specialists to go to Prosperity level 3, so that's a bit more of a challenge.
On an unrelated note, if you'd like for us to let you in on a little secret: you can find Sam Fisher's sneaking suit in New Dawn, too. Check out our guide on how to get the thing, complete with a special Expedition where you get to explore the Paladin mobile HQ from Splinter Cell: Blacklist!
