Far Cry New Dawn wouldn't be a fully-fledged Far Cry release if there weren't a helpful doggy-dog companion to get a hold of. Even though Boomer didn't make it into the post-apocalypse, there's a new good boy in New Dawn, and his name is Timber.
Far Cry New Dawn Timber is a mutated Shiba Inu hound who is in a bit of a pickle when you first locate him. Namely, the poor thing is being prepared for slaughter, and might get cooked unless you locate and save him and his compatriots.
How to Get Timber in Far Cry New Dawn?</h3>
Timber the dog can be found at the aptly-named Meatfort Outpost, where crooks are cooking dogs. It's fairly obvious what the course of action ought to be here, really. To get information about Timber, you need to find an information gatherer wandering the map.
You need to mount an assault at Meatfort, release Timber and his dog buds, slaughter the dog-eating crooks, and then pet Timber just as you did with Horatio the boar. Timber will join you immediately, and is perhaps the most useful companion in the game.
What Does Timber Do in Far Cry New Dawn?</h3>
Just like Horatio, Timber, too, has got three major skills he can help you out with, and these unlock progressively, as he takes down enemy units. At first, Timber can tag enemies, dig for crafting materials, and even fetch you a weapon from time to time.
Once he takes down 15 enemies, Timber will also tag nearby crafting materials and alarms, and at 40 kills, he will get the ability to intercept and alert you to animal attacks. This is handy, even though cassowaries are nowhere to be found.
