FFXIV’s Fashion Report is one of the many activities you can put on your weekly schedule, but also one that’s easy to miss if you’re new to the MMORPG. Tucked away inside the lavish halls of The Golden Saucer, its rewards include MGP and, if you’re very fashion-savvy, a title you can proudly show off.
To unlock Final Fantasy 14’s Fashion Report activity, you’ll want to head to The Gold Saucer. From its Aetheryte, head into the southwest portion of the area (Entrance Hall) and look for an NPC named Lewena, who starts the Passion for Fashion quest. Make sure you’re interacting with her as a character that’s reached level 15.
She’ll direct you towards the Wonder Square, where you have to speak with a man called Masked Rose. After a short conversation, you’ll have unlocked FFXIV’s Fashion Report. Masked Rose gives you a new themed challenge each week, on Tuesday at 1 AM PDT/4 AM EDT/9 AM BST.
Your task is to put together an 11-item outfit (excluding waist and off-hand slots) that best suits the theme and hints you’re given each week. Starting on Friday, at 1 AM PDT/4 AM EDT/9 AM BST, you can have Masked Rose judge your outfit on a scale from 1 to 100. Depending on how well your attire matches the theme, you’ll be assigned a score, which determines the rewards you’ll obtain.
The FFXIV Fashion Report rewards include 10,000 MGP for participation, an additional 50,000 MGP if you’re deemed worthy of a rating of 80 or above, alongside an achievement that unlocks the Fashion Leader title, if your outfit scores 100 points.
Each week, you have four attempts at being judged, which lets you tweak your outfit and share knowledge with other players. A good source of outfit recommendations are Reddit user kaiyoko’s threads, which often point towards pieces of gear and dyes that fit each week’s theme.
On top of that, Kasumi’s store – found just near Masked Rose – gradually unlocks more items you can purchase as you take part in Final Fantasy 14’s Fashion Report activity. After a total of 6 weeks, you should have everything in it unlocked.
The MGP you earn can be used to buy other glamour items or limited-time event rewards like the Regalia Mount, while they’re active.
