Space Hulk: Tactics has just received its first official update since it's been released two weeks ago, and it's a pretty major one, including both bugfixes and a slight balancing pass.
The main focus of this update, however, is that it tweaks Terminator and Genestealer AI so that they make for better adversaries. Developers have also been quick to invite players to provide them with further feedback on these changes, but also on some issues that may have not been addressed yet.
Various AI improvements include the fact that Terminators will now have a better sense of where their compatriots are, minimising chances of one blocking each other from the current objective, as well as being less prone to murdering one another accidentally. Genestealers, on the other hand, will now be more aggressive when facing Terminators who are running out of ammunition, as well as taking more risks with Overwatch fire.
Of the new features, players can expect many new horde maps, various UI tweaks, improved UI functionality, and some new cinematics, while the balancing pass refers to certain skills and their relation to the game's line-of-sight mechanics, amongst other things.
In case you're interested in reading the entire patch log, you can find it on the game's Steam page. Alternatively, Space Hulk: Tactics is now available for $39,99, and seems to be the best iteration of the classic board game yet, so be sure to check it out if that's something you're curious about.
