For Honor provides an avenue to answer a couple of those vital, age-old questions: Can Vikings beat Samurai? Could a Shaolin Monk knock some sense into a fully armored Knight?
Although it also features a single-player campaign, the online component is arguably where most its playerbase spends its time searching for these answers. But, as a multi-platform release, does For Honor support cross-platform play?
Does For Honor support Crossplay?
<p>For Honor is cross-platform, in a sense, although it’s most likely not the way many of us had hoped. As far as fights proper go, players are currently stuck battling opponents on the same platform. Whether because of the different manner in which the game controls with a mouse and keyboard as opposed to a controller, or some other consideration, Ubisoft hasn’t implemented cross-play yet.
Cross-platform elements do come into play in For Honor when talking about its Faction War. While PC players only duke it out against other PC players, their efforts count towards the one existent Faction War pool which covers all platforms.
It’s not an ideal situation but, at the same time, it’s arguably better than also having individual tracking for the Faction War side of things. Given how Ubisoft is continuing to support For Honor, perhaps cross-platform play will come in a future update.
