4X Strategy RPG Liegecraft, the debut title from ex-Paradox and CDPR devs, will be coming to PC in early access next year.
From Chaos is a five-person Polish studio led by Tomek Dietrich. It looks to revitalize the 4X genre with a fresh take. It hopes to do this with a winning combination of Civilisation’s replayability, the character-focused diplomacy of the Crusader Kings franchise, and the hero focus of Heroes of Might & Magic 3.
Liegecraft mixes a medieval RPG with the 4X Genre
Players assume the role of a medieval monarch, leading their vassals to build a prosperous feudal realm. They reward the loyal with power, land, and royal titles, scheme against rivals, and imprison the disobedient.
But beware, the vassals’ personalities, relationships, and flaws may conflict with the player’s strategic goals. Lead them wisely, shaping their traits and balancing their needs, or risk their petty squabbles leading to bloodshed and ruin.
Each playthrough promises a fresh experience, as a new map, characters, and scenarios will cop up to keep players on their toes.
