Fortnite’s 7.40 patch went live today introducing a number of goodies, including the limited-time Driftboard. The Driftboard can be used to boost your speed, pull off tricks and fire on the move in Fortnite’s Battle Royale, Creative and Save The World modes.
The limited-time additions don’t end there, however, as Fortnite’s famous Battle Royale portion has also received two limited-time game modes.
What can the Fortnite Driftboard Do?
<p>
Driftin’ pits two teams of 32 players against each other while removing all chests and ammo boxes. Red Supply Drops fall all over the map, containing a Driftboard, weapons, and ammo. The mode focuses on moving using the newly added limited-time item, given how health and shields regenerate while doing so.
Catch!, the second limited-time game mode removes all weapons from the equation, requiring players to rely on grenades and other throwable items when it comes to eliminating opponents.
The Infantry Rifle has been added to Fortnite’s Creative mode, while the Save The World mode has received the Final Frost challenge that combines “some of the previous Frostnite Challenges into one”. You can find the full patch notes, which include a detailed description of what the Driftboard can do, over on the game’s website.
