Publisher and developer Stardock Entertainment today unveiled Galactic Civilizations 4: Supernova as the newest expansion for the latest entry in its 4X strategy series.
Galactic Civilizations 4: Supernova brings a set of new features and improvements, including an updated combat system, alongside new alien civilizations that you can play as or against.

“We are thrilled with the new additions Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova brings to the genre,” said Brad Wardell, Stardock CEO.
“From a combat system that features starship classes, to graphics engine improvements, and multiplayer mode, players will be able to immerse themselves in a vast and complex universe unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova also brings with it Terror Stars “that can destroy entire stars and the surrounding planets and ships with a single shot.”
New culture progression and research systems are on the way, the latter including several breakthrough technologies.
The 4X strategy game’s diplomacy system is set to receive “more complex negotiations and alliances,” according to the publisher, alongside a more streamlined galaxy setup system, enhanced modding capabilities, as well as improved graphics.
Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova was not given a release date and a price just yet, but is “coming soon.” You can check out its announcement trailer below.
