The Gears 5 tie-in with the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate movie comprises of two skins - for Sarah Connor and the iconic T-800 endoskeleton, as they appear in Dark Fate, so an older Linda Hamilton-style Sarah Connor. The Gears 5 Terminator Character Pack is available with the game, but how do you get it - and how do you unlock the Terminator: Dark Fate skins? We'll show you.
How to Get and Unlock the Gears 5 Terminator skins
We can imagine the Terminator: Dark Fate character pack to be very popular - but if you want it, you'll have to get it fast. There's currently only two ways announced to unlock the Gears 5 Terminator pack of Sarah Connor and the T-800, and one has passed already.
The first way to get the Terminator DLC character pack was to pre-order Gears 5, but obviously it's out now. However, Microsoft has given a bit of leeway about this - and has said that anyone who buys the Gears 5 standard or Ultimate editions and plays Gears 5 before Monday September 16 will also get the DLC for free.
Presumably the Terminator DLC will be available to buy after this date - but it's not been confirmed, and certainly is not guaranteed, so if you want the Gears 5 Terminator character pack you better pick up the game now. After that, just play the game before Monday while signed in to your Xbox profile and you'll get the character pack.
