Halo: Master Chief Collection is still coming to PC - the hype wasn't just a fever dream after all. Since this is a high-profile multiplayer-enabled first-person shooter, a beta testing period is practically guaranteed, and Halo: MCC is definitely going to have one.
Halo: MCC PC beta will, however, not likely be coming before June, as that's when this year's E3 is going to be held. 343 Industries' community manager Brian Jarrard commented on the given matter earlier today.
"Currently it doesn't look like public flighting will begin prior to E3," said Jarrard, also known as ske7ch343 on Reddit. "The team has made a lot of progress on a number of areas but everything is just taking time (in some cases longer than initially anticipated)."
According to this, we will indeed get a large-scale testing period for one of the most hotly-anticipated PC first-person shooters ever... but it won't be happening just yet. Having said that, June isn't that much of a wait either, and it's going to give the developers a bit more time to polish things up to a presentable level.
Fans are already praising the decision not to rush things, so the general assessment is quite positive indeed. Are you, too, excited about playing Halo on PC proper?
