Hearts of Iron 4’s Update 1.10.4 is now live, its patch notes revealing fixes for two networking security flaws.
Players should no longer have unwanted visitors bypassing their lobby’s password protection, as of the recent patch. Users should also no longer be able to ban or kick players from matches without being the host.
Below, you’ll find the full patch notes for Hearts of Iron IV’s Update 1.10.4.
Stability & Performance
- Fixed a security flaw in networking where a user could bypass lobby password protection
- Added extra checks to block clients with empty or blank username from joining a game
- Fixed a security flaw in networking where a user could kick/ban other players without being the host
Savegames made with 1.10.3 should be compatible with Hearts of Iron IV’s 1.10.4 patch. If your saves are from an older version of the game, you may need to roll back to an older patch in order to finish it.
Both smaller patches brought additional changes following the launch of 1.10, which accompanied the Battle for the Bosporus DLC.
Hearts of Iron IV is now available on PC. Here are the mods we think you should definitely check out if you’re a fan of the WW2 grand strategy game.
