Hitman 3 proimises to continue the trilogy’s focus on replayability through the addition of optional modes like Elusive Targets. These complement the game’s exceptional story campaign, by introducing new challenges that test the players’ proficiency as world-class assassins.
In previous entries, Elusive Targets were limited-time contracts that gave players only one chance at taking out the new characters they featured. Those who succeeded were rewarded with exclusive suits for Agent 47 alongside the knowledge that they pulled the job off under a great deal of pressure. Here’s what we know about their state in Hitman 3.
If you jumped into Hitman 3 at launch, you might have noticed that Elusive Targets are nowhere to be seen. Indeed, the limited-time contracts aren’t part of the game at the moment and developer IO Interactive has yet to reveal when we might expect them.
It has, however, confirmed that Hitman 3 Elusive Targets are coming at some point in the future. “The stakes are high and the clock is ticking. Elusive Targets are the ultimate Hitman challenge and are designed to offer an exciting, pulse-pounding experience,” reads an article describing the game’s modes.
“You need to track down a unique target, with little-to-no help from the HUD or Instinct and hatch a plan to eliminate them on the fly. Good luck. In HITMAN 3, we’re making some changes to the Elusive Targets formula that we’ll reveal at a later date.”
There are also no details regarding the changes that the mode will see. While that’s bound to disappoint fans who enjoyed tracking down and taking out Elusive Targets, the good news is that there’s plenty to do in the game’s story campaign and, as it happens, it’s also pretty amazing.
We’ll keep our eyes open for any new details about Hitman 3’s Elusive Targets mode and update this article as soon as we learn more.
