Valorant’s closed beta has taken the internet by storm, millions of Twitch viewers flocking to see what Riot’s free-to-play first-person shooter has to offer. As with any closed beta, access was given out to a handful of lucky players but how many Valorant keys have been dropped so far?
Here’s what we know about how many Valorant keys have been dropped for its widely popular closed beta.
How Many Valorant Keys Have Been Dropped
When approaching the subject of how many Valorant keys have been dropped, it’s worth clarifying that the closed beta drops weren’t keys per se.
Instead, after linking your Riot and Twitch accounts, getting a drop simply meant your Riot Account was eligible for the Valorant closed beta, making you able to play as soon as you downloaded the title.
As for the number of Valorant drops, professional CS:GO player Jordan Gilbert said that 25,000 were given out on April 3, during the Twitch Rivals event, various sources claiming that a further 75,000 were given out on April 7.
Valorant Game Director Joe Ziegler took to Twitter, on April 8, to clarify that “there will be more drops continuing throughout the week (and likely beyond)”and that “the amount of drops we give is not a fixed amount”.
As you can probably tell, knowing how many Valorant drops have been given out so far isn’t possible until Riot themselves reveal the amount or announce a limit for Valorant drops.
