Hypnospace Outlaw, an “internet simulator” that received three IGF nominations has locked down its release date.
The title is set to launch on PC, via Steam and Gog.com, come March 12 for the price of $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
One look at Hypnospace Outlaw’s screenshots might leave you a tad confused and that’s not necessarily a surprise, given how the game is the brainchild of Dropsy creator Jay Tholen.
In Hypnospace Outlaw you play the role of “an internet Enforcer, scouring the world wide web for evidence of harassment, copyright infringement, illegal activity and extralegal commerce”, its press release says.
The title is set in an alternate reality where people can access and browse the Hypnospace even while sleeping, which lets them collect coveted Hypnocoins. Hypnospace Outlaw promises a journey where you’ll encounter “colorful characters, groovy GIFs, obnoxious screensavers, and many more wonders”, alongside nasty things such as adware and hackers, but it’s probably best to leave the trailer below speak for itself.
