Imperator: Rome has now entered the final stretch of its development, with Paradox Interactive announcing the official release date of this much-awaited historical epic, as well as a full feature list.
With the Imperator: Rome release date no longer an unknown, Paradox has also offered the game up for pre-order on Steam, and it's finally time for fans of the Roman Imperium to kickstart their hype engines proper.
Imperator: Rome is going to feature a classic high-end strategy setting where Rome does not yet dominate the modern territories of Italy, and has to contend with the likes of Carthage, Macedonia, Egypt, Anatolia, and other contemporary super-forces in order to survive and (preferably) reign supreme.
The game will feature new government mechanics, the most detailed Paradox map yet, new trade, population management, and military features, as well as a way for players to manage a court of hundreds of historical characters in action. Imperator: Rome is now slated for release on 25th of April, 2019.
If you're a fan of the franchise, be sure to check the game out on Steam, where you can place a preorder for €39,99, while the Deluxe Edition with some additional doodads will set you back €54,99. Keep in mind that pre-purchasing will net you some unique army models and event chains, too, which make for a lovely bonus.
