Contrary to general perception, new consoles are actually good for PC gamers. While PC games tend to make use of better hardware, game developers are tied to the restrictions of the current-gen consoles if they want to have any hope of making a cross-platform game work well.
Good news for everyone then, that the next generation of consoles is right around the corner. The debut game footage for the Xbox Series X will give us our first look at the full capabilities of this new hardware along with our first look at Assassin’s Creed Valahalla gameplay. The Inside Xbox stream begins at 16:00 BST today and will be broadcast on multiple platforms.

This marks the start of Microsoft’s reveal campaign, Xbox 20/20 which is set to release monthly updates for the rest of the year leading up to the Series X release. “For the Xbox 20/20 May update, we will focus on giving you a first look at next-gen gameplay, trailers and sneak peeks from a wide variety of publishing partners and independent developers across the globe.”
