Will Dark and Darker be Released on PlayStation 5 and PS4? Ironmace’s popular fantasy dungeon PvPvE adventure game, Dark and Darker, has captivated PC gamers on Steam, garnering a significant following. However, the South Korean developer faced a setback when a cease and desist case issued by Japanese-South Korean publisher Nexon led to the removal of the game from Steam.
Since then, Dark and Darker has found a new home on the digital platform, Chaf Games, where it’s available for $35. Gamers are now eagerly questioning if Dark and Darker will be released on the PS4 or PS5, expanding the game’s reach to console players. Currently, there is no official announcement regarding its return to Steam or a debut on PlayStation platforms.
Is Dark and Darker releasing on PS5 and PS4?
Ironmace has not made an official announcement regarding a console release for Dark and Darker. However, in response to a question on Twitter back in February, the company did express its intentions to work on a console version once the PC version has launched.
“Yes, that’s the plan. However for now we’re focused on getting the PC version ready first”, Ironmace explained. This statement provides hope to fans eager to see the game on platforms such as the PS4 and PS5.
As for Dark and Darker’s return to Steam, the situation remains uncertain due to the ongoing legal proceedings between Ironmace and Nexon. However, Ironmace has expressed its understanding of Steam’s significance, stating that it “Cannot ignore the largest PC storefront in the world.” This acknowledgement suggests a possible intent to resolve the issue, although no specific details have been shared.
- GameWatcher's expected Dark and Darker Console Release: 2024
