Publisher and developer Frontier Developments today unveiled Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack as the next DLC for last year’s park management sim. Having locked down its release date to early March, it introduces new dinosaurs that players can look after alongside a batch of new skins.
Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack is inspired by the animated Netflix series, expanding the game’s available roster of creatures with two entirely new dinosaurs, two new variants for existing species, and eight skins.
One of Dr. Wu’s first hybrid creations, the Scorpios rex sports blood-red eyes and jagged, uneven teeth that instantly tell you it’s an aggressive carnivore species that deserves to be feared.
The other new dino species, the Monolophosaurus, is also a carnivore, only hailing from the mid-Jurassic period and donning a single crest that can intensify its loud roars. Both come with their own behaviors and needs, which should provide a fresh challenge for players.
The Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack also adds two herbivore variants, in the shape of the Ouranosaurus and the Kentrosaurus.
The former is described as a “peaceful, herd-dwelling herbivore with characteristic tall spines that are sure to capture the attention of park guests,” while the latter’s “lethal-looking spikes” have a solely defensive purpose.
The DLC also introduces the following eight new skins, including two glow-in-the-dark additions inspired by the Parasaurolophus Lux.
Accompanying it is a free update that brings a species viewer, first-person mode, new decoration items – like individually placeable trees –, but also various changes to sandbox mode content and other changes.
Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack has locked down its release date to March 8, when it arrives on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4 for the price of £7.99/$9.99/€9.99.
