Original: A series of ratings given by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee suggest that a a slew of older Konami games, including the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid, could be making their way to PC.
This would mark the first time that the original Metal Gear is playable on PC while also putting both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance on digital stores after a very long wait.
As spotted by Gematsu, ratings have been given to Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania and Contra, Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance.
Konami Collector’s Series, Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance Coming to PC
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is the PC and Xbox port of Sons of Liberty that also expanded upon the PS2 version with additional content.
Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania and Contra brings together five titles – Castlevania, Castlevania II Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III Dracula’s Curse, Contra and Super C – that are also part of the respective games’ anniversary collections.
Recently, rumors of a Metal Gear Solid remake exclusive to the PS5 have cropped up, also mentioning the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 2 remaster.
As Konami has yet to provide an official response to the rumors or the ratings, it’s unclear whether the remake/remaster could also be headed to PC.
