As the wait goes on for the release of Phasmophobia’s Progression 2.0 update, developer Kinetic Games has shared another preview of what it entails.
The 10th preview of Progression 2.0 sees a focus on equipment upgrades, and the main tweaks and changes to them. Progression 2.0 brings a reset for all players (but legacy players will gain prestige levels to unlock some previous items and features), and that means a fresh climb uphill to get upgrades on your ghost-hunting equipment. Once an upgrade is received, it becomes a permanent fixture in your inventory.
Phasmophobia Progression 2.0 EMF Upgrades
You’ll need to save up quite a bit of cash to afford the upgrades to your equipment. As part of this preview, Kinetic Games showed the EMF Reader upgrade path as an example. EMF readers will cost $45 throughout the tiers.
Tier 1 is a basic analog meter with a limited range. Its needle-based sensor will definitely let you know if an EMF 5 incident is occurring though! Tier 2 is the K2 meter and that brings a wider range and more audible sounds to denote a presence. Finally, Tier 3 has the hi-tech ParaReader which can cover multiple EMF spots at once. Each covered spot has its own sounds to keep a handle on what is where and how far away it is.
Kinetic Games promises to have another preview for Phasmophobia’s Progression 2.0 soon. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on that.
