The MOBA’s newest season shifts to a different ranked structure and naming convention for its updates, as reflected in LoL patch 25.S1.2, which is the second patch of the first season coming this year. Three seasons are planned in total, each one comprised of eight separate patches.
League of Legends Patch 25.S1.2 Release Date
League’s patch 25.S1.2’s release date is slated to occur on Thursday, January 23, as revealed in the official patch schedule for the year.

A set of new Mythmaker and Dumpling Darling skins are on the way for champions such as Jarvan IV, Amumu, Shen, Syndra, Nami, Seraphine, and Jhin. In addition, the Prestige Mythmaker Cassiopeia skin will also appear in-game.
League of Legends Patch 25.S1.2 Mel, The Soul’s Reflection Champion
Hailing from Noxus, Mel Medarda uses her magical abilities to both do damage opponents and protect herself. Her ability to reflect projectiles back at her foes sets her aside from other champions in the MOBA’s roster.
Here is a breakdown of Mel’s abilities, as detailed by the developer:

| Searing Brilliance (Passive) | Whenever Mel uses an Ability she gains three bonus projectiles on her next Attack, up to nine maximum. When Mel deals damage through an Ability or Attack she applies Overwhelm which stacks up damage to execute the enemy. If the enemy is hit by Mel with enough Overwhelm damage to kill them, the stacks are consumed executing them. |
| Radiant Volley (Q) | Mel fires a barrage of projectiles that explode around a target location dealing damage repeatedly to enemies within the area. |

LoL patch 25.S1.2 will likely also feature a series of balance changes and bug fixes targeting champions in need of various adjustments based on the data gathered following the season’s start.
