As League of Legends: Wild Rift heads into 2022, players have a new update cycle that brings new changes and champions to look forward to. Patch 3.0’s release date kicks it off, being the first major content drop of the year and a welcome post-holiday refresh to the mobile game.
League of Legends: Wild Rift’s patch 3.0 release date may also be when its already sizable roster of champions will expand yet again. At launch, the title didn’t feature all the characters in its PC counterpart, but has been catching up as new updates get pushed to live servers.
Players won’t have to wait too long for the next batch of content, as developer Riot Games has revealed that it is set to drop in the second half of January.

Once the patch is released, players will still be able to play the old version of the game for 24 hours. After that time has passed, however, updating to the latest version will be mandatory.
League of Legends: Wild Rift’s patch 3.0 is said to introduce Sett as a new playable champion, which should give you plenty to do for a good number of hours, as you familiarize yourself to his skill set.
Following patches are slated to arrive in March and May 2022. Naturally, unexpected delays can occur. Should we learn about any, we’ll be sure to update this article.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is available now on Android and iOS devices.
