Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will launch with a massive amount of content, counting among the biggest titles developed by TT Games’, which inevitably leads players to wonder about whether or not local and online co-op support will be available at release.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga co-op support enables players to share some of the movies’ most iconic moments and the video game series’ trademark humor with a pal, while also working together to track down all of those pesky collectibles that will very likely keep completionists busy.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Co-Op
In fact, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga local co-op support was confirmed as early back as 2019, when the game was announced. Back then, the developer revealed that two players will be able to experience the whole thing together.
Like most other Lego video games, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not launch with online co-op support, at least not in a dedicated sense.
If you really want to play online with a friend, you’ll have to rely on Steam’s Remote Play Together feature, which lets you stream the title, so another player can join.
There’s no word if proper online co-op will be added at a later date and looking at past Lego games, chances for it might be slim.
Nevertheless, whether you opt to take advantage of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s co-op support or play through it alone, it should feel familiar yet different from its predecessors.
Its levels are built from the ground up, it features new combat mechanics, and three trilogies’ worth of characters should translate to quite a few skill sets to learn and upgrade.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launches on April 5 and will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
