Publisher and developer Dark Star Studio today announced Mars Colony Builder, an upcoming colony sim that tasks you with raising futuristic cities on the Red Planet.
Rovers and droids lie at the forefront of your colonization efforts in Mars Colony Builder, being the first to land on the planet. They’re also the tools you must use to prepare things for the arrival of your first human colonists.
You’ll need them, sooner or later, to being exploiting different types of resources required for your colony’s evolution and other more complex tasks.
Mars Colony Builder Announced
Domed cities protect your bold, fleshy colonists from the planet’s harsh environment. They might, however, not be as effective against the “rebellion, economic meltdown, lack of food, supplies, overpopulation and other terrible cataclysms” that you can encounter.
You’ll also venture far beyond the borders of your cities, as exploration also plays a role in Mars Colony Builder.
Acquiring financial support from external sources is also needed to expand your colony. Even if you make money somehow grow on trees, you’ll have a hard time growing trees on Mars, at least when you first start out.
Mars Colony Builder doesn’t yet have a release date, but you can find it on Steam and see it in action in the trailer below.
