Is Marvel Rivals offline? Marvel Rivals, NetEase’s long-awaited hero shooter based on the comic book universe (multiverse in this case), has finally opened the floodgates on PC as well as current-gen consoles. Thanks to a strong launch roster of playable characters and an eye-catching visual presentation, it’s already enjoying a great deal of success. But is it too much for the servers to handle?
Seasons in Marvel Rivals will follow the model that’s worked great for hero shooters like Overwatch 2. This means that actual playable content like characters, levels, and modes will be available at no extra cost, with battle passes offering both free and paid cosmetics. On top of that, the in-game store will have more expensive (and probably cooler) cosmetics that can be purchased with premium currency, though it seems that the free currency will be quite flexible and useful too.
This means that players will be dropping in and out of the game constantly if they find the gameplay loop and balance enticing enough. So far, it looks like that’s the case, and this might also translate into extra pressure put on the servers during new events or the holidays. While Marvel Rivals is just getting started, there’s a growing interest already, so we’re keeping track of the servers and downtimes here.
What’s the current Marvel Rivals Server Status?
Despite the massive launch-day player numbers (at least on Steam), Marvel Rivals’ servers seem to be doing fine going into its first weekend and the Christmas season. That said, things could get shaky as more people jump into the PvP hero shooter.
- Marvel Rivals’ servers are currently online, with no downtimes scheduled.
As it stands, the best way to keep track of all major updates is to follow the game’s official Discord server and social media accounts. We’ll, however, be keeping this article updated with the server and downtime-related news and updates as they hit.
