Developer Piranha Games has announced that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries has shifted its release date to December and will launch as an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.
Those who’ve preordered the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Community Edition will have access to a Closed Beta featuring practice missions that’s currently scheduled to start on November 5.

“Our partnership with Epic Games store allows us the opportunity to make sure MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries meets our internal goal of creating the best MechWarrior game possible.”, the developer said in a post on the game’s website.
In the wake of it becoming an Epic Games Store exclusive, pre-order refunds can be requested before September 1, regardless of tier. Should you choose to request a refund, you’ll get to keep all the bonuses for MechWarrior Online included with the pre-order.
As with other titles in the past, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year, after which it “will most likely show up in other digital game stores”. The title now has a release date of December 10 and is set to launch on PC.
