MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is now out and some joystick users have had a bit of a rought time playing Piranha Games’ latest, due to encountering crashes.
The developer has, however, addressed these issues in a recent small update, the patch notes of which you’ll find below.
MechWarrior 5 Patch Notes Update Fixes Joystick Crashes
Here are the joystick-related crashes MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries players should no longer encounter as of yesterday’s update:
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash on start if there was a HOTAS device with more than 25 buttons
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash if Logitech rudder pedals and other HOTAS Joysticks were plugged into the PC
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first entry in the series in almost two decades. Set in 3015, during the final decade of the Third Succession War, players find themselves in the boots of a mercenary whose company was almost entirely destroyed.
As survivors, they’re tasked with rebuilding the company and tracking down those responsible for the massacre, all while sowing destruction in their bipedal death machines.
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is available on PC through the Epic Games Store.
