If you’ve been through hell and wanted more, then rejoice! Metal: Hellsinger’s Update 1.5 is here with a host of tweaks, balances, and fixes, plus some new ways to play.
This is the first content update for the game since its launch earlier this year and the key addition is a new difficulty mode called Archdevil.
Unlocked after beating Metal: Hellsinger on any difficulty, Archdevil is the ultimate test of breakneck rocking rhythm shooting, and features a previously unseen threat to blast into oblivion.

The update also adds some new collectibles that unlock cosmetic weapon skins. It also contains some fresh combos for building fury and score, which aim to add extra variety to combat. There’s even an in-game art book to pore over between pulse-pounding assaults on demonkind.
There’s a raft of underlying changes and fixes packed into this update. These include a bunch of bug squashes, tweaks to scoring and fury, and adjustments to enemy damage output.
For developer The Outsiders, it’s been a pretty successful launch year so far, with the revelation that more than 1 million players have devastated demons to heavy metal since the game’s release. Today also saw the release of Metal: Hellsinger on previous-gen consoles, so the metal madness can grow even stronger.
Gamewatcher’s own Bogdan Robert Mateș reviewed the game for us earlier in the year, and scored it 8/10. Robert stated it gripped him all the way through its story mode and beyond, despite some disappointing boss fights.
