Metro Exodus, the third game in the excellent Metro FPS series, is out now, and it takes the franchise into a more open-world setting. Consequently there are a lot of things to see and do in this world, and one of the earliest optional missions you can take involves the Metro Exodus teddy bear.
This teddy bear belongs to Nastya, the little girl you rescued from the Fish-worshippers near the start of the game. She says her teddy was stolen by some sort of monster, and asks you to get it back. You don't want to let Nastya down, do you? 'Course not, and we can tell you how to find the teddy bear in Metro Exodus.
How to find the Metro Exodus Teddy Bear
You have to wait until Nastya is on her own before she'll ask you to get her teddy bear back, at which point you'll actually get an icon on your map. It's actually quite subtle - it's in the very bottom-left-hand corner. You'll have to get close to it for various missions, which is good because it's on the opposite side of the map to the Aurora and it takes a while getting there - not to mention all the monsters and bandit camps on the way. Oh, and some radioactive parts too!
Eventually you'll notice some very tall cylinder containers. Make your way across to them, and head up the metal walkway up to the very top of the containers. The teddy bear is on the roof of the very largest container.
You'll know it when you see it, because there's a horrifying nest right in the centre - and a sleeping bat-demon too. If you crouch and be careful with your movements, you can sneak up. The teddy bear is right in front of the nest, facing the small supplies area on the right. Sneak up and grab it, and make sure to save beforehand.
If the demon stays asleep, well done, sneak away and return the bear to Nastya when you're ready. If you wake it up, quickly run to the supplies area we mentioned and down the ladder here. It shouldn't be able to get to you, and it'll start attacking other creatures in the area instead. Slip away, and the mission is complete. Back to saving everyone's lives...
So what do you get for retrieving it? The happy face of Nastya. That's enough, right? Oh, and Moral Points that'll count towards the ending. Worth it.
