Mortal Kombat 1’s roster of characters is already packed with characters that will be familiar to fans of the series, but a recent rumor suggests that developer NetherRealm Studios might plan to spice things up by bringing actress Megan Fox and rapper Travis Scott into the fold.
The two would join fellow celebrity Jean-Claude Van Damme, whose likeness is confirmed to be used for a Johnny Cage skin in MK1.

The rumor comes from Last Stand Media’s Colin Moriarty, who revealed that a source who had also told him about Van Damme’s now-confirmed inclusion brought up the other two celebrities’ names.
“The person who told me Jean-Claude Van Damme was in this game before it was announced, this was told to me over a week ago, said that Megan Fox and Travis Scott are also in the game,” he said on an episode of the Sacred Symbols podcast.
Moriarty followed that by saying that he doesn’t know who they might be playing or whether or not their inclusion in the game is sure to happen.
Mortal Kombat 1’s publisher hasn’t mentioned Megan Fox or Travis Scott during the game’s official announcement.
On the one hand, this could mean that we might hear about them joining the fighting game’s roster at some point further down the line.
They could make their entrance as their own playable characters, new Kameo Fighters, or as skins for existing fighters, mirroring Van Damme’s inclusion.
On the other, it’s also possible for the rumor to prove inaccurate. We’ll simply have to wait for an official announcement (unless a more conclusive leak reveals them ahead of time).
Mortal Kombat 1 is slated to launch this September. While its system requirements prove quite accommodating to older PCs, we’ll need a good chunk of free storage space to try out its new fighting system.
