Marketed as a classic story about light and darkness, The Sojourn is an upcoming first-person adventure that's promised to challenge players with varied environmental and contextual puzzles, awe them with wonderful sights, and keep their interest with a fascinating story.
With content spread across four atmospherically varied chapters, The Sojourn promises dozens upon dozens of challenges that will eventually help you and the protagonist to open their eyes to what is really going on. How this will work exactly, we do not know, but it certainly looks promising, if nothing else.
Playing The Sojourn, players will have to venture into this odd new world and make use of their ability to jump between plains of existence to come to the bottom of what the game has in store. The puzzles are said to"challenge your perception of your own reality," which sounds improbable but intriguing, for sure.
A major selling point seems to be the colourful, vivid environs that the developers have prepared for The Sojourn, and we can certainly see some merit in that. If their hopes of creating a mind-bending puzzler come true, we just might have a modern classic at our hands, but it's far too early to tell as it stands.
Though there is virtually no information about the game's eventual release, aside from the fact that it will be coming to PC and modern consoles, we know that Iceberg Interactive hope to have it out sometime in 2019, and one can only hope that Shifting Tides' very first project manages to deliver on what's been promised.
