By now, everyone knows that Slitherine are the go-to developer when it comes to milsim strategies, be they more or less fantastical. Afghanistan '11 is one of their more realistic offerings, and it's getting a new content pack soon!
Titled 'Royal Marines', the upcoming downloadable content pack for Afghanistan '11 will have players take control over the British combat forces stationed in the area. Their main task will be to try and stabilise the region by building infrastructure and fighting against the Taliban, as one does.
Aside from the obvious addition of a whole new UK faction, players will also be granted access to a whole bunch of new vehicles, such as the Warthog, the Scimitar, or the Jackal. There's also the new scenario campaign to enjoy, too.
Perhaps more interesting are the numerous additional features coming with Royal Marines, such as the inclusion of civilian vehicles and car bombs, roadblocks, the addition of the Afghan police forces, and the ability to collect intel from random villages.
Afghanistan '11: Royal Marines is slated for release on 6th of September, 2018, though the exact pricing details are yet to be announced.
