Surely you're aware of the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - or Black Ops IIII, however you might prefer - is just around the corner at this point. What you might not have known, however, is that Activision intend to integrate their upcoming flagship shooter with Blizzard's Battle.net, just like they did with Destiny 2.
This comes as a bit of surprise to those of us who enjoy collecting games via Steam, but when all is said and done (remember what Bethesda have been playing at lately), it would seem that every big publishing house is pushing for their own storefront lately, so why wouldn't ActiBlizz, too?
Since Blizzard already have a rather populated framework service in place with Battle.net, it isn't all that odd for Activision, their sister-company, to try and use the thing as well, but the reasoning offered is... iffy, at best. They cite the ease of communication across Battle.net - a decidedly basic feature.
Anyhow, minimal system requirements include 8 GB of RAM, an i5 2500k, and GTX 660/Radeon HD 7850 as key components, while a recommended rig would comprise of 12 GB of RAM, i7 4770k, and GTX 970/Radeon R9 390. None too shabby, and one does have to admit that Black Ops 4 does look rather snazzy all in all. Do mind that these specs are beta only, while final ones may or may not change.
The Multiplayer Beta event will kickstart via Battle.net on 11th of August, 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, 17:00 GMT, while those who've pre-ordered Black Ops 4 will get access to the beta a whole day earlier. Interested? Guess it's time to start finding buddies over Battle.net if you don't have any yet...
