Outriders Worldslayer was given a late June release date today in a long-awaited showcase that also offered a first look at what the third-person shooter’s first expansion brings to the table.
Outriders Worldslayer introduces a new campaign that picks up right after the end of the base game, tasking players with responding to the Anomaly, which continues to evolve, and fighting against Ereshkigal, the dark Altered overlord of the Insurgents.
The expansion adds new zones and enemy variants. Traveling to the furthest reaches of Enoch rewards you with powerful new loot, including weaponry and legendary armor.
Pax trees then let you tap into a secondary skill tree which adds two new subclass branches for the game’s original classes.
The new Ascension progression system allows you to improve your character’s Endurance, Brutality, Prowess, and Anomaly stats. Apocalypse tiers then replace Challenge tiers even when playing expeditions, introducing Apocalypse gear which comes with a third mod slot.
- Outriders Worldslayer release date: June 30
Purchasing Outriders Worldslayer also gets you the base game with all its content. New players can complete them in order or hop straight into the expansion, using a boosted character, and play the original game afterward.
Existing players can opt for the Worldslayer upgrade. Purchasing it on the same platform as your copy of the base game lets you continue playing using your characters and gear.
Outriders Worldslayer’s release date is currently slated for June 30. Pre-ordering the game grants 48 hours’ worth of early access. You can learn more about it on Steam or by watching its reveal spotlight below.
